A little something extra...

Working in the wedding industry on the Sunshine Coast is my joy and pleasure. I’ve meet incredibly talented and hard working people who create memorable and magical wedding days for couples and their family and friends.

In February, I was invited to showcase my signature style wedding bouquets and arrangements at the Noosa Springs Resort & Spa Wedding Open Day. If you missed this fabulous day, I would like to share some of my good friends and creative wedding industry suppliers to make your wedding uniquely you.

Sweetness Contained  by Danny Mackay. Don’t just order your wedding cake, but try NOT to order ALL the sweet treats!  Visit them on 95 Eumundi Noosa Road, Noosaville.

Rebecca Colefax PHOTOGRAPHY by Rebecca Colefax herself. Rebecca is so passionate about what she does and it certainly shows in her incredible work.

Rockin’ U Wild call Paul on 0438745522 to get the party started with some fabulous tunes. I don’t think you’ll find anyone with more experience on the coast! Plus he does photo booths too!

Surfshots for super casual, coastal feel photos, Dave Gleeson is your man.

Romantic Nights & Events So this one is for the boys? Nah, make a special night something you will both never forget.

For any other recommendations, call or email me and I’ll be happy to help.

Susan, signing out xx

However, for you, it is time to soak up your surroundings, celebrate the special people in your life and enjoy the pampering. The planning has been done and you can relax by being assured you have the experts in their field to make your day perfect. Here are my suggestions:

All you need to do on the day:

Eat breakfast/brunch (good idea before champagne!)

Charge your phone

Make extra time in your schedule to allow for the unexpected

Don’t try and set up the ceremony or reception, instead enjoy the pampering, this is all about you!

Pricing bouquets & florals

Pricing florals... so much time goes into sourcing the perfect blooms, collecting them, arranging and positioning them so they're sitting just right. With this in mind, wedding flowers can often cost a little more than walking into a florist and asking for a bunch of flowers. The flowers for your wedding have been selected and sourced especially for you, the bride, and haven't been sitting in a shop ready for just anyone.

I often have bride's (and on the odd occasion a groom) asking how much flowers cost for a bridal party. Well, there's a few things to ask first; how many are in the bridal party, what flowers do you love and what style is your wedding?

To help in the budgeting department of your wedding, I have listed items that are often found on a 'bride's shopping list', these prices are not set and can fluctuate a little depending on sizes and availability but will give you a good place to start.

Bridal Party Florals
Bride's posy of locally sourced roses $180
Bride's teardrop bouquet of oriental lilies $190
Bride's cascade bouquet of mixed roses and lilies $240
Bride's flower crown, from $120
Bridesmaid posy of roses $110 each
Bridesmaid posy of oriental lilies $90 each
Flowergirl's flower crown, from $60
Buttonholes $12 each
Pin-On Corsage $30 each
Wrist Corsage $40 each

Ceremony and reception flowers are also available and of course are tailor made to suit your wedding style, colours and budget.
